Ice Fishing at Spray Lake

Set high in the snow-covered Rocky Mountains, the air is clean and, the lake, with vast expanses of untracked snow, is not crowded. Located 45 mins. from Banff, or 25 mins. south from Canmore, in the heart of some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, a Mountain Experience awaits.

With 20 years Guiding on the lake and consistently great results, we are confident that we can provide you with an unforgettable experience. Choosing from 4-5 Heated Huts allows for comfort and flexiblity, in fishing, that is unrivalled in this area.

This service is available December through April, depending on ice conditions.

Ice fishing is for Lake Trout and Rocky Mountain whitefish. Ice fishing (vertical Jigging) is an easy way for the novice and expert to catch fish.

You will be provided with all the fishing gear, equipment and winter clothes required to make this a complete and comfortable experience.

All trips are private and accompanied by our experienced Guides.

We can accommodate groups from one to 10 persons. Larger groups can be accomodated with advance notice.

Of course we provide heated huts to allow you to fish in comfort! We will also cook your catch for a delicious shore lunch, and will keep a kettle warm for hot drinks.

Typical round trip length is 6-7 hours.

Ice fishing is a unique Canadian wilderness experience.
